Very Basic Meter
The hardest part of using this meter is the initial set up.(Day/Date/Time) Once set up you put in a strip and it turns on automatically, and it uses a very tiny drop of blood. If you want a meter with out any bells and whistles this is the one, except for a few beeps while using it, it doesn't have a blacklight to disturb your sleep. I love it's ease of use

Readings seem off
I love my PIP lancets and everything else I’ve gotten so I decided to try the meter. First it’s very unforgiving if you don’t load enough blood on the first try you get an error message and the strip is a loss. There is no second chance, test strips are too expensive to lose like this. I checked it’s calibration prior to use and it read ok. Then I took my blood sugar I got 267. I compared it to two Free Style Lite and Free style I used the same drop of blood for all the meters. The FreeStyle readings were 137, 142, 141. I checked the calibration on the Free Styles all ok. I kept trying every time I took blood for two days. Using the same blood drop the PIP meter was always at least 75 points higher then the Free Style Meters which I’ve been using and they are supported by my A1C numbers

Accurate!
This meter is amazing, it matched my Dexcom sensor immediately. I know my Dexcom is incredibly accurate, so that gave me a lot of faith in the PIP meter. I’ll be a PIP customer as long as they are around!
